Product Overview

MetaDefender Managed File Transfer is a cross-domain solution that enables the secure transfer of files into and out of critical networks. MetaDefender Managed File Transfer prevents advanced cyber security threats by leveraging multiple technologies within the MetaDefender Core platform, including Deep Content Disarm and Reconstruct (Deep CDR), Multiscanning, File-based Vulnerability Assessment, Proactive Data Loss Prevention and Threat Intelligence.

New Product Features In This Release

We introduced a new alternative of the backend database - Microsoft SQL Server to service customers who have greater needs for infrastructure security, scalability, and performance. All SQL Server versions from 2017 and onward are supported.

We also added a new option to limit upload quota for users. By introducing this feature, administrators can set an upper limit for storage to each user and restrict new file uploads when the user exceeds the defined storage limit.

In this release, a new enhancement is added to allow users to change the password for existing encrypted documents. MetaDefender Managed File Transfer now can support processing password-encrypted files. Users can choose the option to add the password later and re-process the file from “My Files” or “Processing History” pages.

Starting with this release, messages sent to a Syslog can use Common Event Format (CEF). When a Syslog integration is set up, the messages can be sent either with the standard message format or with the CEF-compliant message format.
