The Position

The MetaDefender Sandbox and Threat Intelligence Service are components of an advanced malware analysis solution that detects and analyzes zero-day and evasive threats using a combination of dynamic analysis, AI, and machine learning. What You Will be Doing
- Design and develop cyber security applications working closely with our Team Lead and Product Owner
- Architect and implement new features for our platform
- Write clean, maintainable code with comprehensive unit tests
- Conduct and participate in code reviews
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones
- Contribute to technical documentation and system architecture

What We Need from You
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
- Strong experience with RESTful API design and implementation and JSON data structures
- Proven experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality tools (SonarQube)
- BSc or MSc in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Sciences, or Mathematics

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) in assuring quality of OPSWAT Cybersecurity technologies and products at highest level. - Own the end-to-end quality of the product, balancing automation and hands-on testing to ensure reliability.

You’ll take part in designing and building the backend services that power our secure file transfer platform, working closely with engineers, security experts, and researchers. What You Will be Doing
- Design and implement robust audit logging mechanisms to ensure traceability, compliance, and transparency of system actions and user activities
- Designing and implementing scalable, secure audit logging systems using modern logging frameworks and centralized log management tools (e.g., ELK, Splunk experience is a plus)
- Improve further one of our fastest-growing solution, the Secure Managed File Transfer by implementing new business requirements
- Participate in the design and architecture of emerging products, ensuring a future-proof and scalable backend system
- Design, implement, and maintain automation workflows to streamline deployment and operational efficiency
- Create and solidify CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows to enable fast and reliable software delivery
- Define static and dynamic code analysis requirements to maintain high-quality and secure codebases
- Participation in the design and architecture of emerging products
- Review design specs/coding
- Strong understanding of compliance and security requirement is a plus
What We Need from You
- Minimum 4 years C# programming experience
- Experience in version management (preferably git)
- It’s nice to have experience with programming languages such us C++; Python; Node.js
- Good English skills
- Open to learn new technologies every day and don’t be afraid to make mistakes
- It’s good to have home/hobby project showing your commitment to programming
- CI/CD experience is an advantage
- Experience with containerization (Docker, K8s) is a plus

You’ll take part in designing and building the frontend interface of our secure file transfer platform, working closely with UX designers, backend engineers, and security experts. This is a hands-on role where you’ll shape the user experience and help grow our engineering presence in Hungary. What You Will be Doing
- Design and implement interactive dashboards and reporting interfaces, enabling users to visualize key metrics, audit logs, and system activity within the cybersecurity platform
- Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces for our cybersecurity software products using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (mostly Angular)
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate user requirements and design concepts into functional frontend components and features
- Lead early frontend architecture and technology stack decisions (e.g., framework, component architecture, state management)
- Define the development workflow, including code structure, testing strategy, and CI/CD integration for frontend delivery
- Implement frontend best practices, including modular code architecture, code reusability, performance optimization, and adherence to accessibility standards
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate frontend components with backend APIs, services, and data sources, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability
- Take ownership of key UI components and application flows, for example:
- Develop dashboards and activity views for admins
- Implement RBAC and approval workflows in the frontend
- Integrate REST APIs and improve overall UX
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other team members
What We Need from You
- At least 5 years of frontend development experience
- Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, CSS preprocessors (less/sass/scss), TypeScript and latest (ES6+) JavaScript standards
- Experience in JavaScript frontend frameworks (such as Angular, React, Vue.js)
- Good understanding of best practices of building cross-browser, device-independent interfaces and RESTful web services
- Open to learn new technologies every day
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
- Good English communication for both speaking and writing
- Familiarity with Git and branching models is an advantage
- It’s good to have experience with Jira, Confluence
