How do I Validate FileType Digital Signature on MetaDefender Core?

This article applies to all MetaDefender Core versions, deployed on Windows and Linux systems.

Please ensure you have Deep CDR licensed and enabled in the Modules

Introduction

MetaDefender Core’s Deep CDR (Content Disarm and Reconstruction) technology enables robust digital signature validation by verifying integrity of the signed content.

Configuration

  1. Enabled PDF FileType under MetaDefender Core > Workflow Management > desired workflow > Deep CDR tab >
  1. Navigate to Deep CDR > Advanced configuration > desired FileType

Example: PDF

Check the box: “Validate digital signature” > Ok > Save Changes

Results

We can see under the Deep CDR tab a confirmation action: Validated. Deep CDR was able to successfully validate the integrity of the digital signature
