This article applies to all MetaDefender Core releases deployed on Windows and Linux systems.
Issue: After applying new activation keys for license renewal, the customer sees the message on the Inventory > Modules > Threat Intelligence screen: “The engine is not longer licensed with the current product key.” The customer is unsure if this message will automatically change after the license start date (October 1, 2025) or if further action is needed.
Resolution: If the customer requires Threat Intelligence functionality, they must contact the Sales team to request and purchase the additional license for Threat Intelligence. If the customer does not require Threat Intelligence, they can ignore the message or remove the Threat Intelligence engine module from their MetaDefender Core AppSec installation.
