This article applies to all MetaDefender Core releases deployed on Windows and Linux systems.
Answer
Yes, MetaDefender Core supports multiple NICs. However, when using multiple NICs, there is a potential concern that the Deployment ID might change.
Starting from Core version 5.13.0, we support maintaining a consistent Deployment ID, even on machines with multiple NICs.
Maintain a Stable Deployment ID with Multiple NICs
Here are some points to maintain a stable Deployment ID when using multiple NICs:
- Keep MAC addresses consistent – Ensure that the MAC addresses of all NICs remain unchanged.
- Maintain a stable hostname – The hostname should not be altered.
- If you are using teamed NICs – Configure them so that the MAC address remains the same after a reboot.
For more details, please refer to Does the Deployment ID change at any time?
If Further Assistance is required, please proceed to log a support case or chatting with our support engineer.
