What can I do when my Kiosk Tower (K3001) is not powered on?
This article applies to the OPSWAT Kiosk Hardware K3001 only
Kiosk Tower is shipped with the UPS cable disconnected. Ensure that you connect the battery cable before proceeding with the steps below.
The OPSWAT Kiosk Hardware K3001 – Kiosk Tower is equipped with a sophisticated power system, which includes an integrated emergency power backup (UPS).

The UPS consists of two sections: Direct Power and Battery Power. The Battery Power section becomes active only when the UPS has sufficient charge.

In some cases, the Kiosk may not power on when first unpacked or after being powered off for an extended period, especially if the UPS is not operational. The following steps can help you troubleshoot the issue:
Redirection to use a Direct Power source
In this scenario, the power LED is on but not green, indicating that the battery power source is not operational. To power on the Kiosk in an emergency, you can move the power cable from the Battery Power section to the Direct Power section. If you are already using Direct Power, skip this method.
- Unplug the main power cable of the Kiosk.
- Move the power cable that is plugged into the Battery Power section to the Direct Power section.
- Plug the main power cable back in and try powering on the Kiosk.
Wait at least 30 minutes and check if the LED turns green. If it does, reconnect the power cable to the Battery Power section.
If the LED remains red or the Battery Power section is still not functional, please contact OPSWAT Support for further assistance.
