What do the MetaDefender Endpoint version numbers mean?
This article applies to all MetaDefender Endpoint releases deployed on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android systems.
As of August 2022, OPSWAT has adopted a new MetaDefender Endpoint version format across all operating platforms.
All new MetaDefender Endpoint version numbers now comprise the format of O.V.YYMM.B, where the following version sub-values apply:

O = OS Identifier | 7 = Windows 10 = macOS 15 = Linux 2 = Mobile |
V = Type of client | 7.6.x = Windows Persistent 7.3.x = Windows On-Demand 10.4.x = macOS Persistent 10.5.x = macOS On-Demand 15.6.x = Redhat Persistent 15.4.x = Debian Persistent 2.7.x = Android 2.x = iOS |
