Scheduling Automatic Scan

MetaDefender Software Supply Chain lets you trigger scans manually or configure them to run on a schedule.

You can configure scan scheduling during Step 4 - Workflow Creation. By default, the Scan Schedule toggle is off and becomes active only after you select a Scan Pool and a Rule.

Once enabled, you’ll choose a frequency from the dropdown and configure the details:

Hourly

Set an interval between 1 and 23 hours (e.g., every 12 hours).

Daily

Set an interval between 1 and 365 days (e.g., every 15 days).

Weekly

Select a day of the week for the scan (e.g., every Friday).

Monthly

• Choose a period between 1 and 12 months (scan interval).

• Choose a day of the month (1–31) when the scan will run.
