Recycle Bin
Recycle Bin feature allows Administrators to recover files which were deleted by users. Besides that, it also grants Administrators the abilities to permanently delete files, download files and empty the recycle bin.
Read Only Administrators can view the files in the recycle bin but are not able to recover or permanently delete files, except their own.
Regular users (users, guests, external users) can restore and download (available files). They can be granted the ability to permanently delete files via a configuration option accessible to administrators.
Retention Period
Files that have been stored in the Recycle Bin for more than the retention period allows will be deleted automatically.
By default, the retention period is 30 days, but administrators can update this value to suit the needs of the organization.
Configuration
Administrators can:
- configure the retention period
- allow/deny users to permanently delete files
The configuration options can be accessed by clicking the Configure button located on the Recycle Bin page.

Actions
Emptying the bin
Administrators who want to permanently delete all files in the recycle bin can click on the Empty recycle bin button. A popup will appear to confirm the action.

This action is irreversible and may lead to data loss. Please use with care.
Users can empty the recycle bin if allowed to permanently delete files, but only their files will be affected.
Restoring files
When clicking on the Restore File action, an administrator can recover files while maintaining the folder hierarchy. Users can restore only their own files.

Administrators cannot recover files whose owners are deleted. The system will display an error message to indicate that the owner is no longer available.

Downloading files
When clicking on the Download File action, an Administrator can download a file. This action is possible for all files in the recycle bin, even for those files whose owner is deleted.
Users can only download owned files which are also available. Blocked or unsupervised files are restricted.

Bulk downloads are not supported yet. Files must be downloaded one at a time.
