This article applies to all MetaDefender Email Gateway Security releases deployed on Windows systems.
MetaDefender EGS can integrate with an external tool that extracts emails from raw network traffic and forwards them to EGS.
No additional configuration is required on the EGS side.
If you need this external tool, please contact OPSWAT Support. We will provide detailed instructions and the installer.
Alternative Approach: Instead of using SPAN, customers can configure BCC on their email gateway, since BCC is typically more stable and easier to manage than SPAN.
