How to Configure File Scanning for Guest Users

Multiscanning for Guest User Type in Salesforce

To enable multiscanning for the guest user type in Salesforce please refer to the following configurations below:

  1. Open the guest user profile found on the Community Builder page --> Settings
  2. Add all the OPSWAT apex classes to the profile and access the OPSWAT Background Process custom setting
  3. Change the object level security settings under Object Settings in the guest user profile page and grant all the object and field access to the OPSWAT objects like MD log

Please note that as of now, guest users cannot have their files sanitized as they do not have the necessary permission set in Salesforce to have files saved. The way file sanitization works is that it creates a sanitized copy of the original file, meaning guest users cannot have their files sanitized. We are working with Salesforce to come up with a workaround that will allow for sanitization of guest user files.
