Settings → OPSWAT Central Management
Connecting MetaDefender Drive to OPSWAT Central Management enables MetaDefender Drive administrators to centralize the following operations:
- Viewing and Managing scan reports.
- Adjusting the settings of all MetaDefender Drive units.
- Exporting reports in PDF/TXT format.
OPSWAT Central Management must be deployed for your organization. For more details, please find the following instructions: OPSWAT Central Management v7
Connecting a MetaDefender Drive With OPSWAT Central Management
Within the MetaDefender Drive that you would like to connect with OPSWAT Central Management for central management, go to Settings then select Central Management tab, you will be able to see if you are connected to a Central Management Server.
If you are connecting to an OPSWAT Central Management Server 7.8 or later, the following check-boxes will be enabled from Settings → Central Management:
- Update definitions from this OCM: check this box to allow MetaDefender Drive to get engine definitions from this server
- Update version from this OCM: check this box to allow MetaDefender Drive to download and install upgradable package from this server

Settings to update core modules
- Please be noted that the "Pushing modules update" function using Folder is not designed for MetaDefender Drive
Click Connect, then enter your Central Management URL and Registration Code (You can find them in Central Management) in the dialog shown below.
After the connection is completer, the status of MetaDefender Drive will change to Managed. from now on all of the settings will be done from OPSWAT Central Management user interface.
There is a conflict if Drive is configured to get updates from OPSWAT Central Management but that OPSWAT Central Management is not accessible on boot. User is recommended to use Drive Toolkit to update latest engines in such a case.
