Changes made in each setup step are saved as a draft, and the setup can be left.

Editing an existing approval process configuration

An existing process configuration may be modified freely with the active configuration still in effect. As soon as the modification is activated supervision continues working according to the new configuration.

The Active configuration is replaced by the activated Draft. The previous active configuration is not saved.

Disable approval process

Disable the approval process by Disabling the Active process configuration.

The active configuration is preserved as a Draft, in case it needs to be enabled again.

If there is already a Draft it is discarded to make room for the deactivated configuration instead

Preview active approval process

The active configuration can be previewed in a read only mode, if there is no desire to change the configuration

Preview can also be opened while someone is making changes to a draft

Multiple users configuring at the same time

Editing a configuration locks it to the current user to prevent conflicting changes. Other users are unable to start editing while it is locked. After 30 minutes of inactivity the lock is released and any other user may continue configuring the draft.

The draft may be discarded to restart editing by someone else while it's locked.
