Organizations
User type: Both Personal and Organization users
The Organizations tab lets you view organizations with approved email domains that match yours and request to join them.
Available Organizations
The Available Organizations section displays organizations with approved email domains that match yours. This helps you quickly identify and request access to the organization you belong to, streamlining your integration into My OPSWAT Portal.
Your email domain is the part of your email address that comes after the @ symbol and is usually shared by all members of a given organization. If your email address were abc@opswat.com, your email domain would be opswat.com.
How Email Domains Work
When an organization’s administrator sets up an approved email domain that matches your email domain, you become eligible to request access to join that organization.
When a new eligible organization becomes available:
- A notification banner will appear at the top of your Overview page.
- Click Request access to go to the Organizations page, where you can submit your request.
How to Request Access
To request to join an organization, take the following steps:
- Log in to My OPSWAT Portal.
- Click your name in the upper-right corner and select My Information.
- Navigate to Organizations > Available Organizations.
- Click Request to join next to the organization you want to join
- Fill out Comment and click Submit Request
Once submitted:
- The request status will change to Waiting for Approval.
- Organization administrators will be notified.
- You’ll receive a system notification (
icon in the top-right corner) and an email once your request is approved or declined.
If your request is declined, you will not be able to resubmit unless invited again by the organization's admin.
Can You Change Your Mind
Yes. You can cancel your request at any time before it’s approved or declined.
- Go to My Information > Organizations.
- Locate the request and click Cancel request.
How to Remove an Organization from the List
The Available Organizations list shows all organizations with email domains that match yours. If there are organizations you don't wish to join—or if your request was declined and you'd like to clean up the list—you can remove them by clicking the trash bin icon next to the organization name.
Not available for Waiting For Response status
Once removed, the organization will no longer be suggested to you. You cannot request to join it again unless invited by an administrator.
My Current Organizations
If you’re a member of multiple organizations, the My Current Organizations section displays a list of all organizations you belong to.
You can also select a Default Organization to streamline your login experience—this ensures you’re automatically directed to your preferred organization each time you sign in.
