Upgrade/Deployment Strategy on K8S

MetaDefender Storage Security upgrades involve updating the database schema and migrating configuration data using the mongomigrations container. You have three upgrade strategies:

1. Rolling Update

• This is the easiest deployment method.

• New versions are tested using Kubernetes Probes.

2. Blue-Green Deployment (Planned)

• Requires 2 or more active licenses.

• Allows testing of the new image before full deployment.

3. Blue-Green Deployment + Hot Backup (Planned)

• For scenarios exceeding the licensed activations.
