Organizational Unit and Security Group Filtering Configuration
Security Groups added during Role Mapping will always have their respective users licensed with the appropriate role.
If only role mapping is configured while all filters are left empty MetaDefender Managed File Transfer will license all the users and map their roles accordingly.
Leaving all filters empty will cause MetaDefender Managed File Transfer to license all the users inside your Active Directory.
Include/exclude organizational units
| Settings | Description |
|---|---|
| Included OU (organizational units) | Any users within the included OUs will be licensed as users |
| Excluded OU (organizational units) | Any users within the excluded OUs will be ignored when licensing users |
If no specific organizational units are included, the system will automatically include all available organizational units within the Active Directory.
When you have customized the information according to your requirements click Continue to Include/exclude groups__.
Include/exclude security groups
| Settings | Description |
|---|---|
| Included groups | Any users or groups specified in the included groups will be licensed as users; please note that included groups will override excluded OUs |
| Excluded groups | Any users or groups specified in the excluded groups will be ignored when licensing users; please note that excluded groups will override included OUs |
If no specific groups are included, the system will automatically include all available groups within the Active Directory.
When you have customized the information according to your requirements click Start synchronizing to Synchronization and Finalizing Active Directory Setup.
