Recycle Bin

Recycle Bin feature allows the Administrator to recover a file which was deleted by a user. Besides that, it also gives the Administrator the abilities to permanently delete files, download files and empty the recycle bin.

For regular users (users, guests, external users) the recycle bin is not available. Read Only Administrator can view the files in recycle bin but is not able to recover or permanently delete a file.

Files that have been in the Recycle Bin for more than 30 days will be deleted automatically.

When clicking on the Empty recycle bin, a popup will open for the confirmation.

When clicking on the Restore File action, an Administrator can recover the files while maintaining the folder hierarchy.

Administrator cannot recover files whose owners are deleted. Vault will display an error message to indicate that the owner is no longer available.

When clicking on the Download File action, an Administrator can download a file. This action is possible for all files in the recycle bin, even for those files whose owner is deleted.
