Breaking changes
Send unique rescan link for every recipient option
The Send unique rescan link for every recipient option has been removed for notification emails for emails blocked with encrypted attachments.

Each recipient has to initiate a rescan for themselves (as if the Send unique rescan link for every recipient option was enabled) and provide the password so that they can receive the email processed.
The old default way that a certain recipient was able to initiate the rescan for other recipients (as if the Send unique rescan link for every recipient option was disabled) is not supported now.
New & improved
Email actions available in blocked notifications
It is now possible to perform quarantine actions directly from a blocked email notification. In the security rule, an administrator can assign permissions for the end user to perform the following actions: Rescan, Delete, Deliver original, Request release.

Notification support for quarantined phishing & spam emails
In the security rule, it is now possible to configure notifications for quarantined phishing and/or spam emails.

DKIM signing of outbound emails
It is now possible assign DKIM signatures to outbound emails (also including notifications, reports & alerts).

Other
Email alert aggregation
Email alerts with identical content will now be aggregated and the end recipient will only receive 1 alert per email process cycle. As an example, if a scan failure alert is enabled and an email subsequently fails to scan only 1 alert will be sent for this email (assuming that the reason for the scan failure is identical)
Send failure reason displayed in email alerts
When enabled, the 'Send failure' email alert will include the reason for the failure.

Custom DNS server configuration for SPF lookups
It is now possible to configure custom DNS servers to be used by the Sender Policy Framework (SPF) component. Please refer to Registry configuration for more details.
Ignore Certificate Revocation Lists (CRL)
It is now possible to configure MetaDefender Email Gateway Security to ignore checking certificate. Please refer to Registry configuration for more details.
Email with Microsoft Purview (.rpmsg attachments) identified as password protected content
MetaDefender Email Gateway Security can now correctly identify Microsoft Purview emails (.rpmsg attachments) as encrypted content without the possibility to provide passwords.
Classification name change
The classification 'Password protected' has now been renamed to 'Encrypted' to better reflect both encrypted & password protected content.
Bug fixes
HTML body sanitization corruption
An issue has been identified and fixed where non-English character HTML bodies could corrupt when applying sanitization.
Rescan link for outbound emails not working as expected
When configuring rescanning for outbound encrypted emails, then sender was sometimes not able to rescan the email as expected. This has now been resolved.
