New Features
  • Improved Secure Storage with Data Integrity Verification: So that Smart Touch now verifies file integrity on its Secure File Storage using a signed manifest generated by MetaDefender Kiosk. When scanning files with Kiosk, the device validates that files have not been modified using manifest-based verification with encryption keys. For more details, refer to the document here to configure Data Integrity Verification with Kiosk.
  • Improved user experience: Smart Touch can now detect its operational state, whether actively booting or simply connected to a host device in a more robust method that reduces power consumption and extends battery life.
  • New method for updating Smart Touch: by downloading the *.deb package and put it in an USB storage, Smart Touch will automatically pick up the installer and upgrade by itself. Refer to the steps here to perform an offline-upgrade.
Improvements

Default pass-code is changed:

  • Default pass-code has been changed to 123456 instead of 386135 (386135 has been the fault pass-code for Smart Touch v1.6.0 and before]
  • It won't affect the device that has already have pass-code changed by users
  • Bugs around reports generation have been found and fixed
