Operazione Cyber Shell - Trust No File, Trust no device.™
Defense and Homeland Security teams do not need another reminder of the importance of cybersecurity: they understand how critical this environment is. What they rarely have, however, is the opportunity to see in practice how effective a file security layer really is. The most complex threats, which unfortunately represent a much more realistic and common scenario, go far beyond a single endpoint: attacks hidden inside files moving through classified systems, isolated networks, and upload and download channels.
This one-day event is designed to identify critical cybersecurity issues and technology inefficiencies in critical infrastructure. In the morning, we present OPSWAT solutions and move into demonstrations of real-world use cases that show how our solutions protect data, files, and the sensitive information they contain.
In the afternoon, the discussion becomes a competition. Participants split into teams around large tables for a guided two-hour Capture the Flag exercise. They are not competing against each other; instead, they work against an OPSWAT lab acting as the target. Each team tries to get a malicious file through the target defenses, and the first team to succeed wins a medal. It is a practical and memorable way to demonstrate the effectiveness of OPSWAT file security technologies rather than simply describe it.
