Enhancements
HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) settings

HSTS settings can be enabled in the Nginx configuration file. It's disabled by default.

A new connection status of MetaDefender Kiosk Linux introduced: Pending

OPSWAT Central Management (OCM) marks the connection status of an instance to Pending after its enrollment if OCM has not received an acknowledgement from the instance.

This only applies to MetaDefender Kiosk Linux version 5.5 and above.

AD authentication via user principal name

AD users can now log into the OPSWAT Central Management via their user principal name.

Display lockout time on login pageWhen a user has been locked out of OPSWAT Central Management after too many failed login attempts, the user can see how long the lockout period remains if the user tries to login again.
Updated text for a scan result in the Processing History page

To maintain consistency with MetaDefender Core, a scan result text has been updated:

  • Whitelisted -> Allowlisted
  • Blacklisted -> Blocklisted
Bugs Fixed
Could not update the vulnerability database to a newer version.Added support for the new vulnerability database format.
A product group could be renamed to the same name as another existing group.A group name is now unique.
The device details page showed blank SDK version for some cases.SDK version is shown as N/A instead empty.
