Azure Blob Storage Account Validation Failure

  • The Account validation required more permissions than documented because from v3.6.1 we validate the Storage Account, not the Blob Container. The issue couldn't be reproduced in our lab, even without additional permissions and the customer environment was very restrictive so:
    • We changed the account validation process to check for the existence of a dummy container instead of validating the storage account directly, with the check returning successful as long as the credentials are valid. Additionally, we added the AZURE_BLOB_SKIP_ACCOUNT_VALIDATION environment variable, which can be set to 1 to skip account validation entirely as a safety mechanism.

Windows Database Migration Failure

  • Windows upgrades from 3.6.1 to 4.0.1 failed with ERR_REQUIRE_ESM error in mongo_to_postgres.jsso we updated the database migration script to use the proper ES module import syntax.

  • SMTP Re-activation Issue

    • Fixed a critical functionality bug where SMTP service could not be re-activated after being deactivated, rendering email notifications permanently unusable until system intervention.

  • Database Migration Report Recovery

    • Resolved issues where scan reports became inaccessible after upgrading from previous versions (3.5.1/3.6.1), particularly affecting canceled scans and PDF export functionality during database migration processes.

  • Multi-tenancy Filter Disabled for MDSS Cloud

    • Temporarily disabled PostgreSQL tenant ID filtering for cloud deployments as the multitenancy feature is not yet complete, preventing authentication and permission issues for Tenant Admin users until proper tenant configuration is implemented.
