Single Sign On

In order to configure Single Sign On:

  1. Navigate to Settings -> Single Sign On
  2. Enable the Single Sign On toggle
  3. Select the desired Single Sign On Provider
  4. Select the desired Single Sign On Type
  5. Enter the Client ID
  6. Enter the Client Secret
  7. Enter the Authority URL

For the purpose of secure authentication, when configuring any SSO provider, either HTTPS need to be enabled for MDSS, or the web interface needs to be accessed through localhost instead of the deployment machine's IP.

Azure AD Specific configuration

Required App Roles for MDSS access:

  • SsoAdministrator - the equivalent of local MetaDefender Storage Security administrator role
  • SsoReadOnlyAdministrator - the equivalent of local MetaDefender Storage Security read-only role

The redirect URI of the registered app has to point to the base URL of the MDSS deployment, with the “/callback“ suffix.
