Installation and upgrading

Before installation

Before you begin the installation, ensure that the system requirements are met. If you are installing MetaDefender for Secure Storage on the same server as MetaDefender Core, the server must meet the cumulative system requirements of all the products.

Installation

1. Download the package of your choice from the My OPSWAT
2. Install the package on your computer via the Command Line or via the Install Wizard
3. Open a web browser and point to http://<server name or IP> (by default, port 80 is used)
4. Complete the installation and proceed with the onboarding

Installation notes

• The installation requires internet connectivity in order to acquire packages from the container registry
• On Windows, the installer will download and apply .NET Framework 4.8 if it is missing from the system
• In case you encounter any issues, please open a support case with the “Metadefender*” files from C:\Users<user>\AppData\Local\Temp
