High Availability
MetaDefender Managed File Transfer is using a 3rd party solution called Neverfail Continuity Engine, to enable Active-Passive High Availability between two MD MFT instances.
Neverfail Continuity Engine is a dependable software solution, ensuring uninterrupted operation of critical applications through advanced monitoring and failover capabilities, enhancing business resilience against downtime and data loss.

Limitations
- Neverfail High Availability setup is a 2 node system in Active/Passive setup
- Virtual Machines cannot be in an Active Directory, have to manage the Operation Systems in Standalone mode
- This solution does not address high availability for either LocalDB or Microsoft SQL Server (RemoteDB).
Prerequisite
- Remote MSSQL server: Separate Microsoft SQL server is required accessible by Virtual Machines
- Dedicated heartbeat network: Neverfail requires a separate network for heartbeat and data transfer channel
- Static IP: All Network interface has to have static IP.
- Permission to clone: Access and permission to create a clone of the Virtual Machine
- Open network ports: Windows Firewall ports to open for Neverfail Continuity Engine: 57348 , 52267
