Select Group for File Approval
Overview
If group supervision is set up any user that is part of multiple groups can restrict which group supervisors can approve their files. This is restricted to group supervisors, Supervisors or Global Supervisor Users will always have the option to approve a file regardless of this option.
Setting up group file approval feature
When setting up Supervision from Supervisor Approval → Process Setup
- On Step 1: Select Group Based Supervision Mode
- On Steps 2 and 3: Set up the Supervisor configuration as needed
- On Step 4: By selecting Add/Edit from the dropdown on the right side of the list elements, you can setup a Display Name for each group.
- Setup The desired Display Names and Group Supervisors and Complete the process
If set, the display name will be shown to users instead of the groups original name when selecting which group they want their uploaded file to be approved in.

When uploading a file any user that is part of 2 or more groups will see a dropdown list when uploading their files. If the user selects a group the files uploaded in this batch will only be approvable by group supervisors in the selected group.
