MetaDefender Endpoint Release Notes
MetaDefender Endpoint - Windows Persistent (7.6.2512)
Release date: December 17, 2025
This version has been identified to have an issue with entering into a crashed state where it cannot communicate back to My OPSWAT Central Management.
It is highly recommended to upgrade any MetaDefender Endpoint on 7.6.2512 to a minimum of 7.6.2601 to ensure protection of managed systems is not disrupted.
New Features
Exempt scanning of downloads from a trusted domain and its variations through wildcard-based URL allowlisting.
Display a notification & release highlights pop-up when MetaDefender Endpoint is updated to the latest version.
Allow specific approved patch versions to be applied for greater control in maintaining system stability and compatibility.
Provide scripts for users to migrate from My OPSWAT Central Management version 7 (formerly known as OPSWAT Central Management) to My OPSWAT Central Management version 10
Enhancements
Download Protection now auto-deletes blocked files and notifies users when a newly downloaded file is removed.
A new real-time threat-detection result popup appears during malware scans, displaying the detection engine name, detection time, and malware name.
