Intuitive UI improvements

Alongside the reorganization of the navigation panel, we’ve implemented several improvements in the user interface (UI) of MetaDefender Endpoint including:

  • Clearer feature names and intuitive subheaders, making it easier than ever to navigate.
  • Reduced the tile size in the Overview screen to display all features without the need for scrolling.
  • Improved left navigation scrolling to make it more intuitive and user-friendly.
  • Replaced the OS version in the footer with the MetaDefender Endpoint version for better clarity and consistency across platforms.

Users will now benefit from a smoother experience, allowing them to quickly find and access key features in a more efficient way.

Enhance Performance for Scanning a Large Number of Files

Customers can now benefit from the enhanced performance of MetaDefender Endpoint, enabling them to efficiently scan large numbers of files from peripheral media devices. This improvement ensures greater reliability, providing a seamless experience while maintaining strong security.

Security Score feature:

Uncertified AVs now reduce the security score by only 1 point, ensuring users are informed while minimizing the impact on the overall score.

  • Not blocking peripheral media after rebooting

  • The HID validation has been enhanced with a streamlined user interface, featuring an updated pop-up design and the elimination of random number entry for improved usability.

Bug fixes

  • Not all files on the USB drive are validated during the initial scan after it is plugged in.
  • The agent consistently protects local partitions using the SAS interface, despite not being intended for this purpose.
  • The scanning notification does not reappear after users close it while it's running.

OPSWAT Media Validation Agent (OMVA - 2.0.13.314)

Bug fixes

  • The tray icon no longer shows the image after the machine restarts.
  • USB drive validation fails when the agent detects multiple simultaneous insert events, occurring only when users restart the machine or connect a USB device with multiple partitions.
