MetaDefender Endpoint Standalone (New product)

• MetaDefender Endpoint Standalone, designed to fortify the defense of critical infrastructure sectors against cyber threats. This innovative software solution adds an extra layer of security to entry points by validating files scanned with MetaDefender Kiosk and enforcing its policy, particularly focusing on operational technology (OT) assets and secure networks.

New Features

Support the wipe option for blocked drives

• The feature allows users to securely erase data from drives that have been blocked due to security policies. This functionality provides a straightforward method for users to permanently delete all data on a drive, ensuring that sensitive information cannot be recovered.

Separate the new UI for the Secure Download feature

• This feature entails designing a distinct user interface specifically for the Secure Download function. By creating a separate UI, users can have a more focused and streamlined experience when accessing and managing their secure downloads, enhancing usability and improving efficiency. This dedicated interface will clearly present all relevant options and information associated with secure downloads, making it easier for users to navigate and utilize the feature effectively.

Peripheral device management (Allowlist/Exemption)

• Peripheral Device Allowlisting:

  • Administrators can create a whitelist of permitted peripheral devices based on their Device ID or Vendor ID or Instance Path. Authorized devices can be accessed by users without additional security checks.

• Peripheral Device Exemption:

  • Administrators can temporarily exempt specific peripheral devices from security restrictions for a defined period. Users can access these exempted devices during the specified timeframe.

By implementing these features, the system will enhance overall security and provide administrators with granular control over peripheral device access and usage policies.
