The Position:

We are looking for a hands-on Cloud Software Engineer to join our growing Secure Access Product Engineering Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a talented team building and re-engineering OPSWAT's security products. If you are a knowledgeable, creative, passionate individual who is interested in designing and building unique security solutions that no one else is building, then we want you!

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Developing and maintaining cloud solutions in accordance with best practices.
  • Building and designing web services in the cloud, along with implementing the set-up of geographically redundant services.
  • Partner with your scrum team members on delivering sprint commitments
  • Work with local and remote engineering teams to deliver on quarterly goals
  • Participate in receiving and giving peer code reviews

What We Need From You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering; Master’s degree a plus.
  • At least 3 years experience in developing software.
  • Experience with UNIX or its variants, such as Linux.
  • Experience with Cloud design principles.
  • Knowledge of API design, RESTful services, and JSON.
  • Experience with SOA applications and cloud-based services, preferably AWS.
  • Familiarity with container technologies, orchestration, and container deployment.
  • Experience with CI/CD systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proven ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.

It Would Be Nice If You Had:

  • Certification as an AWS Solutions Architect.
  • Experience with NodeJS and Typescript.
  • Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, TeamCity.
  • Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and distributed networks.
