MetaDefender version 4 can verify hundreds file type**.** File type verification is not the ultimate security protection for all use cases: our engineers analyze the file format identifier (magic signature), pattern and structure of the file content. This approach is not guaranteed to work for all file types. Both false positive and false negative incidences may potentially apply
