Overview
This section explains how to manage policies in your account.
My OPSWAT Central Management groups policies of products by solution as below
- Peripherial Media: policies for MetaDefender Kiosk
- Endpoint Security: policies for endpoints
- Hardware Supply Chain: policies for MetaDefender Drive
- File Security: policies for MetaDefender Core
Manage policies
- Log into the My OPSWAT Central Management console.
- Navigate to the Policies, select a solution you would like to view policies.
- You can perform some actions on a specific policy, such as:
- Clone - lets you quickly create a duplicate of a policy within an account.
- Delete - allows you delete a policy.
- Export Policy allows you export details of a policy for auditing later.
- Create A new policy: create a new policy with a default policy
- Import a policy: from a file or an instance
Create a new policy
My OPSWAT Central Management will create a default policy based on the latest version of a product.
- Log into the My OPSWAT Central Management console.
- Navigate to the Policies, select a solution you would like to create a new policy
- Click the CREATE NEW POLICY button.
- Fill in the Policy Name and Description (optional).
- Click SAVE.
- Enter your PIN to confirm the action if required
Update a policy
- Log into My OPSWAT Central Management console
- Navigate to the Policies, select a solution you would like to view a new policy
- Select a policy you wish to update.
- Navigate to sections you would like to update.
- Click on SAVE button and confirm your PIN to save changes.
Import a policy
- Log into the My OPSWAT Central Management console.
- Navigate to the Policies, select a solution you would like to create a new policy
- Click Import Policy from an instance/device
- Select an instance/device to import that instance/device to a policy
- Click Next to start importing
Apply a policy to a group
- Log into the My OPSWAT Central Management console.
- Navigate to Inventory > Groups.
- Click on a group you wish to apply the policy to, and navigate to the Settings tab.
- Under Assigned Policy , select a desired policy you want to assign to the group.
- Confirm your change with your PIN.
*Note that My OPSWAT Central Management will re-assess device status for devices in the group with the new policy, except changes for Threat Detection.
