Technical Product Manager

San Antonio, Texas

We are looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager to work closely with a large US government entity that uses OPSWAT security products as an integrated component of an enterprise cybersecurity solution. This position requires US citizenship and US Secret Clearance.

The Technical Product Manager will be reporting to the Vice President of Product but will be working closely with the government entity (including at least 25% of the time onsite at the government’s facility) as well as the OPSWAT Customer Success organization, Government Sales, and the OPSWAT Product and Engineering teams.

The Technical Product Manager will work with the government entity on their initiatives to optimize their cybersecurity solution, will liaise with and provide feedback to the OPSWAT product teams, will define product enhancements that will improve the efficacy of the OPSWAT products, and will provide regular status reports and other deliverables to the government.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Working onsite with the customer (a US government entity) as they define and execute initiatives to improve their cybersecurity solution. 
  • Working with cybersecurity experts and representatives of several other cybersecurity vendors
  • Managing identified product issues to resolution
  • Providing regular status reports and other deliverables to the government entity
  • Providing feedback to OPSWAT Customer Success, OPSWAT Product team, OPSWAT Engineering, and OPSWAT Government Sales
  • Working with OPSWAT Product team to enhance and optimize OPSWAT products

What We Need From You

  • Engineering degree; Computer Science degree preferred
  • 5 years of experience with enterprise software solution integration, design and architecture, preferably in cybersecurity space
  • 5 years of experience working with the US federal government in a consulting or systems integration / solutions engineering role
  • A self-motivator who thrives in a growing and unpredictable environment
  • Ability to develop clear action plans and drive processes with numerous interdependencies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A successful track record of working effectively at all levels within the organization
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, and collaboration skills
  • A demonstrated aptitude to quickly gain technical expertise in software applications
  • An interest in developing subject matter expertise with OPSWAT products

Travel Expectations

  • At least one week per month at customer site, near San Antonio, Texas
  • An initial one- to three-week trip to OPSWAT HQ, near San Francisco, CA, for intensive product training
  • Approximately one trip per month to OPSWAT HQ, near San Francisco, CA, for interaction with product team
  • Occasional trips to other locations, on an as-needed basis
