Senior Events Manager

San Francisco, CA

As Events Manager for OPSWAT, you'll be responsible for leading all event marketing plans, logistics, project deliverables, activities and marketing communications for a series of diverse events throughout the year. These events include corporate and field events and conferences, and partner events. Because OPSWAT is a global company, you will also be responsible for partnering with key contacts in Asia and EMEA to support their event needs.

The Events Manager will need to be very metrics-driven, working collaboratively with the sales organization and the rest of the marketing team to establish and track event goals and results. You’ll also need to be a good writer, able to write and produce the event web pages, emails, and blogs that are critical to promoting OPSWAT’s participation and/or sponsorship of key industry events and conferences. 

What You Will Be Doing

  • Owning and managing logistics, timelines, production, budget and reporting of all events
  • Partnering with Sales and Marketing teams to develop plans that produce quality leads while optimizing ROI
  • Conducting post-event evaluations
  • Establishing event goals and metrics, and tracking results through the revenue funnel to understand how events are contributing to leads and all the way through to opportunities and sales
  • Managing OPSWAT’S inventory of branded give-aways used at shows and across the company to build brand awareness
  • Creating and managing events-related campaigns in our marketing automation system (currently HubSpot, but transitioning to another system within ~ the next 6 months)
  • Working with international teams to understand their events needs (primarily through partners) and provide support as needed, whether it’s booth graphics, email templates, swag, etc.

What We Need From You

  • Events planning experience: both large events (like RSA or Black Hat) and smaller field events
  • Budget management experience
  • Project management expertise
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Strong writing skills
  • Experience with a variety of MarTech tools, including HubSpot and/or Marketo
  • Ability to travel

It Would Be Nice If You Had

  • 2 – 5 years previous experience in a similar role
