Chief Marketing Officer

We are looking for an excellent and experienced Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to help us share our story with the world, oversee all marketing operations of the company and develop its marketing strategy and vision.   You will be in charge of a team of enthusiastic marketing professionals and will direct our marketing efforts towards great success.  An excellent CMO is passionate for their profession and have great knowledge for all things marketing.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Define marketing strategies to support the OPSWAT’s overall activities and objectives
  • Collaborate with other departments and provide a unified approach to lead generation, sales, order fulfillment, customer service, etc. that creates and meets market demands
  • Develop a feasible marketing plan for our cyber security products in the critical infrastructure protection (CIP) market segments
  • Plan and organize marketing functions and operations (product marketing, branding, communications, events, etc.), and ensure they project the company’s unique “voice”
  • Design and coordinate promotional campaigns, PR and other marketing efforts across traditional and digital channels
  • Create a solid network of strategic partnerships
  • MESSAGING: Oversee and guide the crafting of the user personas, messaging and positioning for OPSWAT’s products to articulate the unique selling proposition for each target segment.
  • DEMAND GENERATION STRATEGY: develop several demand generation campaigns based on use cases for our products. Author launch plans and lead launches for new products.
  • Support demand generation activities with a content strategy and thought leadership materials
  • SALES ENABLEMENT: Work closely with sales and business development to ensure they have the messaging and sales tools they need. Drive strategy and content for sales tools and sales presentations. Work with product management to train the sales team.
  • LEAD CONVERSION: Responsible for improving the lead conversion metrics, based on solid lead acquisition strategies and programs for moving customers through the conversion funnel.
  • PARTNER PROGRAMS:  Develop partner program assets for both technical and channel partners.

What We Need From You

  • Proven experience as CMO or similar role
  • Eight or more years of Marketing experience in a high-tech company, with at least four years in an enterprise-selling model. Security market experience and marketing to IT/Developer audiences is preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans for all marketing aspects (branding, product promotion etc.)
  • Solid understanding of market research and data analysis methods
  • Ability to apply marketing techniques over digital (e.g. social media) and non-digital (e.g. press) channels
  • Excellent writing and messaging skills. Proven ability to articulate a clear, unique value proposition.
  • The ability to work with multiple departments to align the teams around a vision and to ensure the work stays on track.
  • An analytical bias to interpret results and a technical mindset to work in a highly technical industry.

It Would Be Nice If You Had

  • Experience with HubSpot marketing automation (or other marketing automation product) and systems.
  • Strong written, editing, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Highly collaborative with a deep sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Easily builds business partnerships and inspires team members.
  • Willingness to travel worldwide up to 15% to represent OPSWAT at industry events and on-site customer visits.
