Business Development Manager

San Francisco, CA

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for partnership activities associated to multiple OPSWAT product lines. Reporting directly to the Head of Technology Alliances, this person will assist leadership in their role to help the company grow and achieve its business objectives through partnerships with other technology companies. The candidate must be motivated, take initiative, be a team player, and be able to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.

What You Will Be Doing: 

  • Work with OPSWAT product and sales teams to identify business priorities requiring partnerships
  • Understand OPSWAT customer use cases and implications for partnership outreach and qualification
  • Communicate partnership options to internal and external stakeholders and implications of partnership choices to be made
  • Work with OPSWAT product team to validate technical integrations with partner products
  • Develop joint marketing assets with partners including joint solution briefs, joint webinar presentations, video scripts, etc. 
  • Collect feedback from partners regarding success of joint activities to date and plan additional joint activities where warranted
  • Research the market landscape and communicate to management; adjust partnering priorities to address market changes
  • Negotiate OEM licensing-in and licensing-out partnerships
  • Work with OPSWAT leadership to identify and accurately capture KPIs such as revenue attributable to joint deployment of OPSWAT product integrated with partner products, costs of OEM licensing-in, revenue from OEM licensing-out and web traffic driven by partners to www.opswat.com.

What We Need from You:

  • 1-5 years B2B business development or technology alliance experience
  • Proven track record of collaboration with product and sales teams to drive results 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to influence others and work effectively in a cross-functional team 
  • A self-motivator who thrives on identifying and resolving pain points.

It Would Be Nice If You Had:

  • Experience in enterprise software or networking solutions, ideally within the network or device security space
  • Knowledge of content security and threat prevention products and markets
  • A good sense of humor
