How to deploy ESE in a Microsoft environment
  1. Review the official documentation for Microsoft Windows 2003 Network Access Quarantine Control (in Microsoft Word)
     
  2. Install the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit (download it here)
     
  3. Get and install the latest Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Remote Quarantined Server (RQS.exe) (download it here)
     
  4. Register your RQS installation using the following script
     
  5. Download and install the ESE client.
     
  6. (Optional) Customize ESE's configuration files located in the root directory (See documentation. Login and password required.)
     
  7. Using Microsoft Connection Manager, create a VPN connection package which includes the following three components:
     
    • RQC.exe (from the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit)
    • ESE
    • ESE launch script
