OPSWAT's multiple engine malware scanning solutions help government organizations protect their networks from outside threats and data loss. MetaDefender for Media (MD4M) protects against the risk of malware entering facilities via external media devices such as USB drives, CDs, DVDs, and memory cards. Many organizations require all devices to be scanned at MD4M kiosks to verify whether threats are present. Organizations can prohibit the use of external devices inside the network and connect these kiosks to a secure FTP, so that scanned and approved files can be sent to an internal location. MD4M can also integrate data loss prevention engines to check files that any employee or contractor wishes to take out of the facility.
OPSWAT's Metascan technology is used by many organizations concerned with file transfers between secure networks. By integrating Metascan to the existing transfer process, organizations can scan each file with many antivirus engines to ensure that they are clean before being transferred to a higher risk network.
