The CacheCleaner software utility is a virtual shredder, used to erase all traces of sensitive data created by a browser. Fully configurable, it can be set to activate on demand, after a browser or OS crash, an inactivity timeout or at the end of a session. CacheCleaner is ideal for adding security to an SSL VPN gateway or any situation which requires that users are protected from data theft. Additionally, this lightweight executable adds privacy assurance to users accessing sensitive web pages on shared computers.
CacheCleaner is perfect for eliminating sensitive data stored in the browser's cache at the end of a browser session or other configurable events which deletion desired or imperative. Common use cases where this would be important include:
In each of the above cases, CacheCleaner can be used to delete end users log-in credentials, end user account data as well as data considered sensitive by the end users' employer or service provider.
And, because CacheCleaner is configurable, the scope of and triggers for deletion can be set by the solution provider, eliminating the need for the end user to take any special actions to insure their own security.
CacheCleaner starts monitoring when it detects that the user has accessed a specified domain. Alternately, an administrator can use a wildcard and CacheCleaner will monitor everything.

A white-labeled version of the CacheCleaner toolkit has been used by Microsoft to create Attachment Wiper, a utility included with their Intelligent Application Gateway (IAG) VPN solution.
