OESIS® Monitor
OESIS® Monitor is a data service that monitors signature and product updates from antivirus and
antispyware vendors. Subscribers are provided with details of each update within minutes of release by the vendor. OESIS® Monitor enables technology vendors to
create a reference database in which products detected by OESIS® Local or OESIS® Remote are checked for
currency.
OESIS® Monitor detects and publishes details of updates to:
- Antivirus engines
- Antispyware engines
- Virus signature files
- Virus signature dates
- Spyware signature files
- Spyware signature dates
How OESIS® Monitor works:
OPSWAT servers collect antivirus and antispyware update information from supported vendors, normalize and format the
information, and publish it in XML format. The XML is pushed to data centers operated by OPSWAT customers, who then
populate the management consoles of their products with the XML. The consoles compare what is being reported by the
antivirus and antispyware vendors with what is being detected by OESIS® Local or OESIS® Remote. For more information
about common integrations of OESIS® Monitor by OPSWAT customers, click here.
