Metascan 2.7.1 and MetaDefender for Media 2.1 Available

OPSWAT is very proud to announce a release of the newest Metascan antivirus SDK. Version 2.7.1  has significantly improved its performance when integrated with McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.5. Scanning should now be up to five times faster.

Two other improvements have been made:

  • Fixed minor bugs on Remote Client
  • Fixed minor bugs on VirusBuster engine update

We strongly encourage all current users to upgrade to version 2.7.1. This is especially true for people running an iteration of Metascan prior to 2.6.
