With the release of Metascan version 3.6, new pre-built packages of Metascan are now available with 4, 8, 12, and 16 embedded antivirus engines. These packages make it possible for customers to experience the powerful scanning of many antivirus engines without needing custom configurations. Using the standard Metascan installation process, organizations can integrate up to 16 engines from around the world to get dramatically increased zero-hour detection capabilities. OPSWAT's Professional Services team can also extend these packages with additional engines to increase Metascan to 20+ engines.
We've also updated the MetaDefender for Media (MD4M) client so that MD4M customers can also take advantage of the larger engine packages. MD4M is now sold as an extension to your choice of Metascan packages, enabling solutions to use many more than the previously available 8 engines to scan external media devices.
The packages for Metascan 4, 8, 12 and 16 are all available on OPSWAT's Portal so that customers and evaluators can access them for trials and testing. Visit the Metascan packages page to learn more about the engines available in each of the new packages.
