You may already know that Metascan Online is a free file scanning service that allows users to upload suspicious files to determine whether malware is detected by any of 30 anti-malware engines, but did you know that we also use the service to help our partners improve their scanning engines?
We'd like to congratulate our partners on many new OPSWAT Certifications over the past few weeks and to welcome four new partners: Enigma Software, Lumension Security, SonicWALL and Trusteer. Thank you for partnering with us to ensure industry-wide compatibility for your products!
Verdasys, a leader in Enterprise Information Protection software for Global 2000 organizations, today announced that the company's flagship product, Digital Guardian, has received OPSWAT Gold Certification. With the designation of Gold Data Loss Prevention, OPSWAT has certified that Digital Guardian 6.0 is compatible with leading technology solutions that employ the OESIS Framework, and will be visible on their management consoles.
More engines continue to be added to Metascan Online, our free file scanning service, which is now using 30+ antivirus engines to simultaneously scan files. Our newest partners on the site include Filseclab, Zoner Antivirus, and nProtect, and we are working with additional vendors to get their engines added soon!
Wondering how OPSWAT Certification can help home users and students? We put together a great new video that describes the benefits of using OPSWAT Certified security applications on your personal computer.
We ran a little test here at OPSWAT Labs earlier this week to help demonstrate why multi-scanning is so important.
First, we did a quick search on Google for keyloggers and downloaded four of them for our project. Next, we submitted all four to our free, online file scanning solution, Metascan Online, and got dramatically different results.
